The motifs on these duvet covers are historic – faithfully copied from patterns found on tiles in an ancient mosque. Those designs have already stood the test of time so you'll know your duvet cover will date no more as more time goes by. The patterns are applied to the white fabric by use of small printing blocks carved from wood. This blockprinting process is done by hand, one block at a time, so your duvet will have real character and life. For each duvet cover, eleven different blocks are needed to build up the overall design (see pictures BELOW). Any slight unevenness in the result is evidence of the hand craft. Tie closings along the bottom short edge. This is hand blockprinting on a robust fabric that is prewashed soft and cosy white cotton – a far more pleasant sleeping experience than synthetics.
