Zig the rug features jute and cotton together in a design of chevrons alternating from side to side along the rug. The pattern is formed using natural undyed fibre of jute, brought into a combination with cotton yarns. Depending on your choice of rug, the cotton is dyed green or black.. The weavers offer three sizes: 1.5x1m, 1.2x0.8m or 0.9x0.6m. Woven on handlooms in Rangpur north-west Bangladesh. Jute is a very durable natural fibre generally considered more environmentally-friendly than cotton because no fertilizer is ever used to help it grow strong.     Jute also needs no pesticide. It grows quickly and is actually said to benefit the fertility of the soil in which it grows.     Jute's growth consumes carbon dioxide (as much as 15 tonnes per hectare), whilst enriching the atmosphere with fresh oxygen (at the rate of 11 tonnes per hectare).     When eventually discarded, jute is naturally biodegradable.     Although not so fine or smooth as cotton, it is actually stronger.

Green/natural Carefully wash separately on woollens program, maximum 30°C without the use of hard detergents or bleaches.
