Jute adds texture and strength to the rug. No dyes are used in either the warm white or the sand versions. The only difference is that warm white is achieved by carefully bleaching the yarn prior to weaving – not too much, so the result is what we describe as «warm» white.   Our sand colour is entirely the natural colours of the yarns. Both rugs have the same structure, an equity of 50% each cotton and jute. These rugs can be used either way up. The short ends are turned over and hemmed. These rugs are individually woven on handlooms in a small workshop committed to the artisans, based in the north west of Bangladesh. Carefully wash separately on woollens program, maximum 30°C without the use of hard detergents or bleaches.
