These friendly flat weave rugs are soft and chunky, feel almost like wool, but are actually robust 100% natural cotton.
The «white» version is made with unbleached and undyed cotton – nothing added, nothing taken away.
The cotton is grown nearby to the weavers' society, and by avoiding bleaching our cotton retains its natural warmth and comfort – very different from those cold, mass-produced rugs you might have seen elsewhere.
Here the texture features natural tones: slightly creamy-yellow hues, perhaps occasional hints of grey.

These are individually hand woven rugs from the far north of India. They are made in stunning surroundings in a steep valley overlooking the Ganges, in a place where India begins its ascent into the Himalaya.

Loving respect for natural materials by our spinners and weavers is responsible for the distinctive feel.
They hand spin the raw cotton before starting on the weaving.

Washing:
With care, cleaning the rug is no problem –
hand wash or pop in machine on
cool gentle program (suggested 30°C).
Wash separately.
Do not bleach!
Can tumble dry on medium heat.
Important: please remember that this is a hand made rug woven with unbleached hand spun yarn. Use of detergents risks bleaching away the soft natural colouring, so please wash carefully!
