The natural look of this «Seafibre™» is its gorgeous rich colouring.
The fibre begins as «malé», a tall grass that grows in saline waters of the Bangladesh Sunderbans.
To make our baskets, the fibre is tightly and evenly bound in coils, then sewn to make the shapes.
Our Seafibre™ collection are exclusive One Village designs made for us in village cooperative societies in rural hamlets of western Bangladesh, not far from the India border.
Making these baskets is often the only source of cash income for the people of this remote area.
