Whitestripe fabric: Bedspreads, throws, tablecloths, curtains 100% cotton. Artisan handloom weaving from southern India.   Our weavers like to use good quality local yarns, and that choice – not a cheap option – is the first essential for building quality fabric. This Whitestripe is not the flimsy and lifeless fabric you will often see elsewhere. This quality literally shines out from the cloth.     Before weaving, some of the yarn is bleached (harmlessly with hydrogen-peroxide), and from this comes the brighter white stripes that are a particular characteristic of this fabric.     The slightly creamy white is original unbleached cotton. Whilst remaining «neutral», the subtle brightness of the bleached stripe provides a crisp freshness to the final look.     Good hearty yarns makes these fabrics perfect throwovers, and you will find our huge Kingsize particularly interesting here. That size is 3 metres across. Our smaller sizes can also be used as ready-made curtains (with our neat and easy curtain clips), or as bedcovers, or choose the small size for your elegant tablecloth.     These fabrics are fully made-up on the loom in three sizes. Weft ends are nicely finished on the loom, whilst the warp ends are neatly and decoratively tied.     For the tablecloth, for the sofa or for the window, for the futon or the bed, these are robust fabrics, finished and ready for instant use.

Throws tend to pull to centre, and off the arms, when you sit down. Our very wide 3 metre width is unusual – but that is the width you need for a large sofa! Machine washable as cotton, suggested maximum 30°C. Avoid bleaches and harsh detergents. Dry flat to reduce crinkles. Best ironed, if necessary, before fully dry.

For instant curtains, just hook up One Village fabrics with these pincer clips. No further making up necessary. Suitable with curtain rings or rails.
